Dr Julian Charles Hellig is a specialist urologist who obtained his MBChB degree cum laude from Stellenbosch University. After internship and community service in Johannesburg, he worked as a medical officer in urology and general surgery at two hospitals affiliated with the University of the Witwatersrand.

He completed his specialist training in Urology at Tygerberg Academic Hospital, Stellenbosch University, and was awarded his Master of Medicine (MMed Urology) cum laude. He then spent a further year at Groote Schuur Hospital as a consultant, continuing his academic interests while starting private practice concurrently. He is now full-time at Netcare N1 City and Crestcare Hospital Malmesbury.
Dr Hellig is well published in international journals and has served as a reviewer for the World Journal of Urology.

His clinical interests include minimally invasive surgery and endourology, and he treats a wide range of urological conditions, including urological cancers, benign prostatic enlargement, kidney stones, reconstructive urology and paediatric urological conditions.

He is dedicated to providing holistic care with respect, dignity and professionalism, and is committed to the highest standards of practice.

Dr Hellig is a proud Paarlite, an avid sportsman, and enjoys travelling and spending time with his family and three dogs.
